WEEK 6: Refreshed

DAY 26

4 September 2023

The school holiday has ended and happy get back to school everyone! Today's Monday Blues hit different than before after a week of holiday. However, I have prepared all of my lessons during my break so I felt so excited to meet them. My morning starts with the opening ceremony for academic month. I was in charged for the performance during the closing ceremony. I decided to do a choral speaking. Hopefully we can start with the practice as soon as possible. For today's lesson, i taught 4 Beta grammar. I taught them past perfect simple and past perfect continuous. 

 

Later that night, i prepared my materials for tomorrow's lesson.

DAY 27

5 September 2023

Morning world! It's day 27, and today I have class with my Form 3 students. I have had class with them for the last two periods, but I received relief during the sixth period. Since I am too lazy to walk away, I just ask Cg. Izudin, the teacher who relieves the seventh period, that I'll take over the class. So today, I have four periods with them. It was a really long lesson, but luckily I prepared my lesson well. Initially, I wanted to give them homework, but since I have four periods, I just wait until they have finished with the work.

So, today's lesson focuses on speaking. I divided them into a few groups and asked them to draw a house for their friends' grandparents and promote it to them. Surprisingly, the drawings were really nice. They did a really great job with the drawing. Since most of the students in this class are low-proficient, I gave them a template to guide them on what to say during their presentation. They didn't managed to finish the drawings on time so the lesson will be continued tomorrow.

DAY 28

6 September 2023

It is a busy day today. I have two classes, one with my Form 3 students and one with my Form 4 students. For my Form 3 classes, I continued my lesson from yesterday as I couldn't finish the lesson yesterday. The students did well with their presentation, as followed by the guidelines.

For my Form 4 class, it was my first time to try the school lab. It was very nerve-wracking because I didn't know whether my students would be interested or not. I taught them passive and active voice and played some games with the students. I was so happy because they participated really well with the lesson and gave amazing feedback, plus, most importantly, they enjoyed the lesson!

DAY 29

7 September 2023

When I woke up this morning, I was so shocked to see my name get relief. I was like, since when did I need relief when I came to school? Later that morning, I found out that I would be one of the invigilators for the listening test in Ulangan for the previous examination. So I didn't enter my class for the whole day and just stayed at the gym with Pn. Elaine.

DAY 30

8 September 2023

It's finally Friday! There is nothing much to do today as Friday passed by really quickly. So, I guess, so you on Monday? Bye.

Whoops. Not so fast as I have to come to school tomorrow for LADAP and farewell party for Cg Azaliza and Cg Roslina.

EXTRA DAY - Saturday 9 September 2023

LADAP Day. It was my first time being in a LADAP. It was an overwhelming experience overall. There are so many things that I have learned, and I really came out of my comfort zone, as today I never really get to know the evening session teacher, and I have to be brave and get to know other teachers as I am always nervous when I want to talk to strangers. So, today really inspired me to get out of my zone and try new things.
